FISA, the governing body for international rowing wanted to take the sport to a new level. To make it global yet accessible, commercial yet personal to fans and competitors alike. Our brand identity captured the essence of rowing. The circular logo is derived from Sumi-e, an ancient asian art form, dedicated to the perfect stroke.
Our digital media strategy and redesigned website, which was launched at the same time as the new logo, focuses strongly on video streaming of events and social networking media – all designed to offer rowing communities across the world the opportunity to communicate.
The World Rowing identity is based on an ‘enso’ a circular brush stroke from the asian art form Sumi-e. It symbolises one perfect stroke; when body, boat and water are moving in perfect harmony
We created a film to show the synergy between the sport of rowing and the art form of Sumi-e
Our brand can be seen applied to signage, merchandising and TV graphics at regattas worldwide
The new World Rowing Website utilises live video streaming of rowing events and social networks to bring rowers across the world together in one place
Our identity can be found on a wide range of World Rowing merchandise from T-shirts, vests and hoodies, to bags and caps. And worn by some of the finest athletes around!
