Tim goes for a swim

Our very own Tim Allison was one of the many to brave the cold and murky waters of Windemere last week for the Great North Swim. It’s the first year the event has been held outdoors and 2,300 people were there to complete a mile in open water.

The event attracted swimmers of all shapes and sizes along with Olympic silver medallist David Davies who came first in the elite swimmers section. Tim wasn’t quite able to keep up with Davies but did manage to complete the race in a respectable 43.19secs and (with the help of the agency) has raised nearly £200 for the charity Bliss.

Tim said, “It was a great event and a really good day. The race itself was a real challenge and not to be eaten by a giant pike was a bonus”.
