A modern website should always render perfectly on any device. Nowadays, you’re as likely to browse on your phone or a tablet as you are to be from a laptop or desktop computer – you might even be doing it right now. So it’s more important than ever that a website looks its best on any size screen and device.
This way of thinking is known as 'responsive web design' and it's something that we at Cravens always apply to the websites we design and build. Our own website is led by big images, which we feel is the best way to showcase our creative work. However, on a mobile device on a mobile network, downloading big images is less than desirable. So we've specified that smartphones and other mobile devices get a less image heavy website, which stacks nicely on the phone, with big enough text so no pinching and zooming is required, but still tells the same story.
