We’re getting the Euro buzz
Here at Cravens we like nothing better than experimenting with technology to enhance our everyday experiences. As you’re probably aware a little event called Euro2012 is happening right now. So we thought it would be fun to enhance our viewing experience by building a real-time content aggregator to pull in tweets from across the world, getting a feel for fans’ reactions to key events as they happen, as well TV pundits’ comments and viewpoints.
The outcome is the catchily titled Eurobuzz-ometer. It monitors keywords from across Twitter, pulling in relevant messages and displaying them within the page. We’ve also added in a sentiment monitor, which calculates positivity by team, pitching them against each other on a match-by-match basis, while also displaying the players by popularity.
