We ain't afraid of no toast
The testimonial, although one of the earliest forms of TV advertising, has fallen out of fashion recently. In the 80s a generation of kids grew up coveting an electric razor to trim their nascent bumfluff thanks to the slightly manic, yet comfortingly avuncular pitch of Victor "I liked it so much, I bought the company" Kiam.
So we were highly pleased to see Hollywood actor Dan Aykroyd reviving this proud advertising tradition for the launch of his very own brand of 'quadruple distilled' vodka that comes in a bottle shaped like a crystal skull.
It bears repeating.
DAN AYKROYD OUT OF GHOSTBUSTERS HAS HIS OWN BRAND OF VODKA THAT COMES IN A BOTTLE SHAPED LIKE A FRIKKIN' CRYSTAL
SKULL.Cue much debate in the hard liquor/80s comedy icons online community. Is it an elaborate gag? Is it an ad for the forthcoming Ghostbusters 3 movie? Er, no - apparently it's a real product that you can actually
buy in a shop. And, as such, it has immediately gone to the top of our Christmas list. The crystal skull told us to do it.
