Paint them, sculpt them, film them, but above all be inspired by them.

The People Show is open to painters, printmakers, sculptors, photographers, film and ceramic artists who live in the North East, professional or amateur. Although work doesn’t have to be representational it should take its inspiration from the theme of ‘people’. There are prizes in a number of categories with the overall winner receiving £1,000.

All shortlisted entries are exhibited at the University Gallery and The People Show is open to the public from August 1st to September 12th 2008, 10am-5pm Monday to Thursday and 10am-4pm on Friday and Saturday. Closed August Bank Holiday. Admission is free.
